What does mobile internet look like in Europe? This time in the analysis prepared by Gemius we can look at Huawei brand.
As shown by the measurement of website traffic in January 2015 and 2016, Huawei devices are not the group of those most commonly used to browse websites in European countries. However, it turned out that the percentage of page views of domestic pages performed on these devices increased during the year in ten of the eighteen analysed countries.
The most page views on Huawei devices were made in January 2016 in Belarus (8.6 percent). Despite the highest percentage of page views on these devices from the entire analysed group of European countries, in Belarus, however, there was a decrease in the number of page views on Huawei devices. In January 2015 it amounted to 12.7%.
Did Robert Lewandowski, face of this company, e.g. in Poland, increase the popularity of Huawei among Internet users?
Although it is hard to say whether it influenced the decision of Internet users, there was undoubtedly an increase in traffic from Huawei devices in Poland. In January 2015, the percentage of page views of domestic pages on these devices was only 0.8 percent. In January 2016 it was already 3.5 percent. views.
The largest increase in traffic from Huawei devices was recorded in Slovakia. In January 2015, the percentage of page views made on this brand’s devices was 3.9 percent. In January 2016, it reached 7 percent of the total number of page views.
The least page views of domestic pages on Huawei devices were made in the analysed month in Ukraine – only 0.5 percent. It is the same as a year earlier – in January 2015.
